T he Wind Octet is made up of two groups: the Bassoon Quartet and the Flute Quartet. The unique idea of combining the members of two independent ensembles originated with conservatoire Professor K. B. Sokolov. “Potpourri”, created by post-graduate conservatoire student I. Kuznetsov especially for this new-born group, will be performed for the first time at the festival.
