Andrey Pokatov finished the Saint Petersburg Conservatoire’s Specialized Music School-Lyceum in the studio of Professor E. I. Zaitseva.

Since 2003 he has been studying with Professor A. M. Kazarina as a student at the Saint Petersburg Conservatoire. He is concertmaster of the Mariinsky Theatre Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.
