NADEZHDA GOLUBOVSKAYA
Nadezhda Iosefovna Golubovskaya belongs to the
brilliant group of musicians of whom the Saint Petersburg is rightfully
proud. She is the pupil of A. K. Glazunov, A. N. Yesipova, A. A.
Rozanova, S. M. Lyapunov, F. M. Blumenfeld, and the colleague and
friend of S. S. Prokofiev, V. V. Sofronitsky, G. G. Neihouz. She
taught for over 60 years at the Petrogradsky-Leningradsky-Petersburg
Conservatoire, creating her own branch of the Saint Petersburg performance
school.
Nadezhda Iosefovna’s artistic appearance was bright
and multifaceted. She enjoyed great success as a pianist, harpsichordist,
expert/keen interpreter of the classical heritage, scholar-methodologist
and a passionate music critic, composer and editor.
Golubovskaya’s art continues to live in her works,
recordings, and in the performance and pedagogical creations of
her numerous students in Russia and abroad, influencing a new generation
of musicians.
