Enriquez CRESPO (trombone)
Enríquez Crespo was born in 1941 in Uruguay. He studied architecture
and music in Buenos-Aires. He worked as a trombonist in a symphony
orchestra, arranger and jazz soloist. In 1969 he graduated from
the Higher Music School in Berlin in trombone performance and composition.
He was a soloist with the Bamberger Simphoniker, and then with the
Radio Stuttgart Symphonic Orchestra.
In 1974, together with his former classmates in Berlin who had
also become well-known performers, Enriquez founded the “German
Brass Quintet”, which is currently one of the leading ensembles
in Germany. As a result of his intensive work with a Bavarian radio
station he was able to create his own private studio and produce
a large amount of audio, video and television productions.
The compositions of Enriquez Crespo incorporate his equal love
for classical music, jazz, and folklore and are based on his broad
performance experience and knowledge of various instruments. His
works are gradually being rewarded with increasing acceptance in
the music world.
